OVERVIEW
To provide an unique medical focus enhancement opportunity for students with interest in pursuing a career in the field of medicine and health science, the CUHK has organized the Summer Clinical Attachment Programme (SCAP) which allows student to interact with medical students, practitioners and professors and become familiar with a range of specialties available in the medical field.
During the SCAP, Students have had the chance to visit the newly established Multi-Scale Medical Robotics Center (MRC). Whilst navigating through the state-of-the art robotic surgical infrastructure with a full suite of Zeego C-arm and Magnetic Resonance Imaging devices, in conjunction with the animal preparation room and fabrication room that are to enable pre-clinical testing of the robotic surgical devices, students have also interacted with our R&D team and exposed to a wide array of prototypes and surgical instruments that will be used in many surgical procedures.
We hope the student participants will have a better understanding in the realm of surgical robot and be part of us in the foreseeable future.
