Assistant Biomedical Engineering Manager/Engineer

The appointee will report duty to the Multi-Scale Medical Robotics Center Limited (MRC) with office in the Hong Kong Science Park. MRC is a company under TR at CUHK Company Limited, involves in the R&D and business in surgical robots and the related medical technologies. 

Job Description:

•    Support the establishment of medical device quality management system (QMS) and risk management system (RMS) for the design and development of surgical medical devices and surgical robots;
•    Partner with research teams on the preparation of technical documentations for device regulatory compliance with EU MDR, USFDA, NMPA, etc.;
•    Involve in the preparation of investigation plan and protocol for pre-clinical studies;
•    Assist the management of engineering processes including design for manufacturing, pre-clinical evaluation, production process, regulatory, compliance and testing;
•    Carry out special projects and tasks assigned by superiors.

 

Job Requirements:

•    Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering or related Engineering fields;
•    1-2 years relevant experience in quality management system and regulatory affairs preferred;
•    Good interpersonal, writing and presentation skills;
•    Mature, self-motivated and result-oriented;
•    Excellent command of spoken and written English, Putonghua and Cantonese.
•    Fresh graduate or candidate with less experience will be considered for Assistant Biomedical Engineer.

Assistant Business Development Manager

Job Description:

•    Assist the implementation of business development and commercialization plan in MRC.
•    Prepare business proposals, presentations, reports, eDM, promotions via website & electronics channels.
•    Support the conduction of market research and surgical robotics related technology trends analysis.
•    Engage with local and overseas stakeholders from academia, industry, public sectors & the government.
•    Organize events and coordinate technology promotion activities of MRC.
•    Carry out special projects and ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisors.

 

Job Requirements:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
•    1-2 years relevant experience preferred.

Job Description:

(a)    Provide clerical and administrative support for the daily operation of the Center;
(b)    Assist in processing procurement and payment in coordination with internal administration and research teams;
(c)    Maintain and update inventory record of office equipment and office supplies; 
(d)    Support recruitment process including scheduling interviews and staff on-boarding procedures;
(e)    Perform reception duties of greeting guest, handle enquiries, mails and courier service, manage meeting room reservation etc.;
(f)    Undertake other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

 

Job Requirements:

(a)    Completed secondary education;

(b)   Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in other Language subjects;

(c)    Fast and accurate typing skill;

(d)    Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);

(e)    Proactive, willing to learn and team-oriented; 

(f)    Good communication and interpersonal skills;

(g)    Proficient in MS Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Job Description:

(a)    Perform project management and handling the Center’s liaison, research projects, and secretarial tasks; 
(b)    Assist HR matters and staff onboarding;
(c)    Perform finance and procurement tasks; 
(d)    Assist in the organisation of events, including conferences, public talks, seminars and academic visits; 
(e)    Provide support to the office administration and daily operations;
(f)    Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor(s).

 

Job Requirements:

(a)    A good Bachelor’s degree; 
(b)    At least 3 years’ post-qualification executive experience; 
(c)    An excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); 
(d)    Proficiency in Chinese word-processing and computer applications, such as MS Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint); 
(e)    Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
